During our 13-week immersive UX bootcamp, students learn new, marketable skills so that they can start a career in user experience design. Students can take our UX Design Immersive Course at our Lehi Campus.

Student Schedule
Because our immersive course is rigorous, we break up our schedule with lectures, presentations, labs and project building. A typical day at DevMountain campus for our UX bootcamp could look like the example schedule below:
Monday - Friday from 9AM - 5PM
9AM
Toy Problem, or Class Warm Up
Previous day reviews and design exercises that strengthen concepts and skills.
10AM
Instruction-Led Lessons
Learn key objectives through guided practice, discussions, presentations, guest lectures, and activities.
12:30PM
Lunch
Continue to work through lunch. Grab a bite at a local spot, or make your own at our on-campus kitchens.
1:30PM
Labs & Workshops
Guided practice with on-hand mentors to work on weekly, personal and group projects. Work on labs solo or in groups. Receive over-the-shoulder help whenever it is needed.
3PM
One-on-One Check In
Regular check ins from our Student Success Team, Employer Relations Team, instructors and mentors.
5PM
Open Campus, or Additional Work Time
Many mentors live in DevMountain housing and stay on campus around the clock. Campus is open to mentors, employees, instructors and of course students all day, every day!

Course Curriculum
While you’re at our UX Design Bootcamp, you’ll have weeks full of fun, interactive learning. You’ll walk away with the ability, confidence, and training you need to land a UX design job. You’ll master the following concepts:

UX Research
You’ll learn how to find and use qualitative and quantitative data to find actionable insights that will help improve and shape products. We will cover conducting user research interviews. You will also learn how to use analytics to discover opportunities to improve experiences.

Prototyping
Prototyping is an important tool for validating the design direction of the user’s experience. Prototyping often leads to rapid improvements and a much better product. You will learn how to build low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes with industry standard prototyping tools.

Information Architecture
You’ll learn how to architect the information of a product. You’ll do that by learning the tools and strategies that will help you build user flows. By the end of the course, you will be able to sketch and wireframe in order to help you facilitate important conversations with key stakeholders. You’ll also learn the essentials to creating successful microinteractions.

Visual Design
You’ll learn important design principles that will enable you to design successful user interfaces. You will learn industry leading design software that you’ll use for the rest of your career.

Motion Design
You’ll learn principles of animation and motion that will help you design modern interfaces that feel natural to the user.
